Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field
• 5+ years of software development experience with strong focus on COM and .NET
• Microsoft Certification (MCAD/MCSD) certification a plus
• Work experience demonstrating self-management of time and tasks with assignments
• Ability to work on several initiatives simultaneously

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in small to medium sized teams to gather requirements for, architect, design, and develop enterprise solutions for our clients
• Consult/mentor WAI clients on best practices regarding:
  • Development tools and processes
  • Application server and security configuration
  • Performance monitoring and tuning
• Represent WAI at industry conferences via presentations on technical subjects

Desired Technical Skills

• Strong relational data modeling skills and database development experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, etc. Experience with legacy database platforms such as DB2, Adabase, etc. a plus
• Extensive Microsoft Product solution development experience including client-server, web application, and XML web services development using Visual Studio and C#, C++, and/or Visual Basic, SQL Server, and related tools. Demonstrated record of production applications developed in .NET a must. Experience with COM/COM+ and other Microsoft Product environments such as Sharepoint, Commerce Server, etc. highly desirable.
• Cross-platform development experience and working knowledge of both Windows and UNIX/Linux-based operating systems
• Familiarity with network-based data sharing standards such as CORBA, J2EE, .NET remoting, and SOAP
• Familiarity with interactive website development and E-commerce
• Experience in developing user requirements for application design
• Experience in developing test plans and executing them
